1.      The goal of the gospel is for the building up of the church

a.       Not only saved, but come to the full knowledge of the truth – 1.Tim. 2:3-4

b.      Not only baptized, but obeying what the Lord commanded us – Matt. 28:19-20

 

2.      Equipping of the saints for the building up of the body of Christ – Eph. 4:11-16

a.       Gifts for the perfecting of the saints

b.      Not to remain as children

c.       Grow up in all things in Him

d.      Every member functioning

i.        Be part of the royal priesthood – 1.Pet. 2:5, 9

ii.      Fellow co-workers – 1.Cor. 3:9

iii.    Working side by side – Phil. 1:27

 

3.      Being an example to the believers – 1.Tim 4:12-16

a.       Good ministers of Jesus Christ, both our speaking and living – 1.Tim. 4:6; Rom. 15:18

b.      Ready to preach the word – 2.Tim. 4:2-5

c.       The word makes the man of God complete – 2.Tim. 3:15-17

Being Fruitful for the Gospel

 

1.      God’s desire is for all men to be saved and
        come to the full knowledge of the truth – 1.Tim. 2:4

2.      God’s purpose in creating man is for man to be fruitful – Gen. 1:28

3.      God’s promise to Noah and Abraham is that they would be fruitful – Gen. 9:1; 22:17-18

4.      To be fruitful for the Lord, we must labor like a farmer – Matt. 13:23; Psalms 126:5-6

5.      To be fruitful for the Lord, we must learn to abide in the Lord – John 15:4-5

6.      We need to be God’s fellow workers – 1.Cor. 3:6-7

7.      In the New Jerusalem, the tree of life bears new fruits each month – Rev. 22:2

Our hope is that in the fellowship meetings, we all would get into not only these verses, but also additional verses regarding the precious blood of Christ, and share our fresh experiences with one another.

The Blood of Jesus Christ

 

To cleanse us from all sin and unrighteousness

1. John 1:7 “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

 

1. John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

 

John 1:29 “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”

 

Mt. 6:14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

 

Heb. 8:12 “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

 

To overcome the accuser

Rev. 12:11 “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb ….”

 

To serve the living God in the Church
